About Johnny Belcher

With 25 years in Kentucky's public education system, Johnny Belcher has made a profound impact as a teacher, leader, and advocate for student success. Starting as a high school science and math teacher in Pikeville Independent School System, he dedicated 15 years to teaching before transitioning to a leadership role as District Assessment Coordinator/Instructional Supervisor. 

Currently, he serves as the CRRSAA Director at KVEC, supporting education across eastern Kentucky. Mr. Belcher holds degrees from Alice Lloyd College and Morehead State University, is ABD for a Doctorate in K-12 Curriculum, and was honored as Kentucky’s Milken Educator in 2011.
