I am the Marketing Director at a local radio station. I was looking for a way to streamline our RFP's(Request for Proposal) from clients and concert promoters. I found Form Director while looking for solutions. I thought I'd give it a try. I was blown away by the integration into Google Suite and some of the more advanced features of Form Director. After my initial evaluation of the application, I saw many ways it could help, so I started building.
I started with a simple Google form with fields for all the pertinent information needed for our Proposals. I was easily able to connect those form fields to Form Director. I then began creating templates for the information to flow to. There were 2 different documents I needed to create. I created a Google Sheets template to layout the client facing proposal. I used some of the advanced features of Form Director to calculate certain totals to be used in the proposal. It would add up the value of the promotions based on the elements I entered in the form. It was also able to add up the value of the promotional prizes the client was providing and assigned a value to that to show ROI on the proposal.
I also needed promotional copy created from the form info, so I made a Google Doc template crafting a sample copy paragraph with placeholders to be filled with the form information. Once those were created, I was able to successfully fill in a form and the system would create the proposal and the promotional copy. I also had the system email those documents to me along with a generated PDF (from the Sheets doc) that went to my team to notify them of the promotion and it's dates/times and details. I used the generated PDF to send to the promoter/client.
I also used Form Director to connect to our company promotional calendar on our Google Calendar. Form Director was able to put the dates and times of the event itself on the calendar, it also entered the dates and times of the promotions we are running for that event. My team then can see the promotional proposal, use the copy created, and see the promotion and event dates on the calendar.
I used to have to do all that by hand and it was very cumbersome to enter this info in so many different places and keep it all concise. Form Director was able to do that for me. Now, when I receive a proposal request, I simply put in the information from my form, click submit and all those processes are automated and notifications are sent and my team is all on the same page. It provides consistency and accountability at a level we have never had. I have many more ideas on how to integrate Form Director in our business workflow. I am excited to get started on those projects.
